I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I am so happy to once again raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer and the St. Baldrick's Founfation. Last year I was honored by becoming a Knight of the Bald Table for all my years of service with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Out of all the community service I am a part of, this is the one I am most proud of because of all the good it does to help people battling with cancer. My sister, Alexa, is a cancer survivor. She was only three years old when she was diagnosed and she is now almost 21. Even though I wasn't born yet when she was sick, I know all about what she went through and I cannot imagine how scared she was at such a young age. It makes me so sad, but at the same time it gives me strength knowing how strong she is. She is a real life superhero. I want to be just like Alexa when I grow up. She is a junior at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut studying to be a nurse. I think it is amazing that she is choosing to help others in the same way that they helped her. She always tells me how the nurses that worked with her had a huge impact on her recovery. She works so hard and I want to make her proud. My Aunt Sherrie passed away from a pediatric cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma. I am also fighting for adults like my aunt. Please help me reach my goal of raising as much money as I can for the Sachem event at my mom's school. I am so proud to be a part of this team every year. No donation is too small as every dollar counts, so thank you in advance for supporting this amazing foundation.
