If you have a conversation with someone, there is an extremely high probability they know someone effected by cancer. I have had my fair share of family members and friends diagnosed by this life altering disease.
The most recent run in with cancer, happened to be my 18 year old brother-in-law. Ryan was an active high schooler, enjoying his Senior year and living his best life. Ryan loves hockey and was mid-season for his Varsity team when he began getting sick, and not feeling 100%.
Ryan was ultimately diagnosed with Large Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on his 18th birthday. He is a fighter, and never let the word cancer impact his spirit. After six grueling months of aggressive chemotherapy, countless hospital stays, doctors appointments and tests, we are happy to share that Ryan is Cancer-free!
