I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Jen's Ducks
Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.
This will be my 20th consecutive year shaving my head for the St Baldrick's Foundation. I've done so every year since 2005 shortly after my daughter Jennifer was diagnosed with a very rare presentation of Ewing's Sarcoma at the age of 14. My Jennifer; despite her 6 year battle and a dynamic spirit, made the ultimate sacrifice in this war against a ruthless disease. Many other children have given their lives as well. These tragic passing's are a reminder of the work that still needs to be done
This year marks a bittersweet milestone as the Napper Tandy's event will take place on March 9th, Jennifer's Birthday. It will also mark the 14th year since we lost her the same age she was at diagnosis
I ask for your generous support of my shave with a donation; in any amount you can afford, to help fund the research needed to bring an end to this evil disease that preys on children. Over these many years as a committee member, I have actively participated in St Baldrick's events and spoken optimistically of the progress made in the war against pediatric cancer. I will continue to do so for as long as I am able.
Thank you for all your support!
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least twenty years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
