I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: One Love

Hello All,

We are less than a week to go before we brave the shave!  Thanks to all that have donated as we are on our way to reaching our goal of raising $10,000!

Team One Love is back again for another head shaving event! Many of you are familiar with our past fundraisers and we would like to thank you for all of your support and hope you can continue to donate.

It has been thirteen years since my brother-in-law, Ryan Charles Brennan lost his long and courageous battle with cancer, and we still cherish all the great memories while missing him every day.

Ryan and countless others are the reasons why I’m shaving my head for the 18th consecutive year on April 20, 2024, to raise money for lifesaving childhood cancer research at the following event:

Port 5 – National Association of Naval Veterans

69 Brewster Street, Black Rock, CT

12:00 pm

I am also pleased to advise my son Matthew will brave the shave again this year.

Now we need your help! Team One Love’s goal is to raise $10,000. Will you make a donation today?

Your contribution will support the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants worldwide. Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has funded more than $282 million in research grants to find cures for kids with cancer. This is all thanks to the generosity of donors like you!

Your donation will go a long way – here are some ways your gift makes a difference:

• $50 provides two hours of a clinical trial, often a child’s best hope for a cure

• $100 covers a student to work in a pediatric oncology research lab for one week

$250 allows for ten hours of research to improve patient and survivor quality of life

By shaving our heads, we are standing in solidarity with kids who typically lose their hair during treatment.
