I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

What could possibly be more important than saving the life of a child? At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research.

Personally, this cause means a lot to me.  I have two special children in my life that are currently fighting the great fight against childhood leukemia. A beautiful little girl Alice, age 5, with ALL  and Jace, age 4,  with B-ALL. Adult leukemia (AMML) sadly won its battle and I lost my father in July 2023.  Too many people are being affected by this awful disease. If there is any way that I can do my part and help to support finding treatment and cures. I am going to fight for it! This is my 3rd year being involved. Last year I cut 13 inches off my hair and had a wig made for a special child through Children with Hair loss. This year I am keeping my hair but I am raising money and recruiting as many people as I can to do the same: Shave, cut or fund raise!

Doesn’t matter the age it’s hard to go through no matter what. These kids are true fighters and deserve every chance! During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants. I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please support me with a donation. Thank you!
