I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Tavares

What could possibly be more important than saving the life of a child? At our 12th annual event, some will shave their heads, some will cut and donate their hair and others will volunteer to help raise money for the cause. If you help me reach my goal then I will cut and donate 8 inches of my hair at the event!


During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants. Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. And in the U.S., 1 in 5 will not survive. That's why your participation is so important.  I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please support me, my students and school with a donation and let's save lives together. Thank you!
