I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Aaron

My name is Matthew Serchay and this will be my 5th year shaving my head. I am shaving my head in honor of my cousin Logan Cruz who has no

Evidence of Disease and in memory of Reagan Mize who passed away November 8, 2020 from Diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas which is a inoperable and terminal Brain cancer

You see on August 10 2017, my cousin Logan was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia which hit pretty close to home.  As a result of chemo, He lost all his hair . As such I wasn’t gonna let my cousin be alone in his fight and in March of 2018 I started shaving my head to be by his side for support. While many Kids and even Adults made fun of me for my decision to shave my head, I knew I was and am doing the right thing by shaving my head bald.

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? It brings much needed awareness & funds to pediatric cancer. Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.

Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.

Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!
