I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.

I first shaved my head in 2014 to raise money for Bear Necessities with staff at Leggee.  But really I've shaved my head in support of Lexi Barga, my best friend Jenny's daughter. She was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2012.  


In 2016 I planned to participate in St. Baldrick's again.  I fundraised, and was signed up for the event.  However, a week earlier while visiting Lexi, she asked to shave my head.  When Lexi asks, the answer is yes.  On March 22nd, 2016, Lexi lost her battle. So this year, I shave my head in memory of Lexi. This will be my 8th year shaving my head for children with cancer.
