I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

In medical school we learn all about the biology of cancer, how it works in the body, and what we as doctors can do to prevent and treat it. However, there is still so much we don't know. This is why cancer research is so incredibly important. Childhood cancer is devastating, and we as medical students want to help children affected by cancer in whatever way we can. That is why the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) is hosting a fundraising event with St. Baldrick's; doing our part in the fight against childhood cancer. As a member of the Executive board of SOMA, I am excited to organize and host this event, and I am asking my family and friends to help our cause by donating whatever you can. At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research. I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please consider supporting me with a donation. Thank you!
