I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Bald 4 Baldricks
Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s?
Let me tell you a quick story about a second grader who noticed some of the teachers had shaved their heads. He asked “why” and was told about the St. Baldrick’s program to fight childhood cancer. The teachers shaved in memory of the Secretary’s daughter who had recently lost a long battle with childhood cancer.
His response was to volunteer to be shaved to show his support in the fight.
That event was 10 years ago. He’s a Senior in High School now and he hasn’t missed a year even through COVID.
I’m so proud of my grandson and team captain Eli Krach. He has shaved for 10th consecutive years.
Now . . . I don’t know how you feel, but any young person who will make a 10 year commitment deserves our support. That’s why I want to make this year’s team contribution more than he can believe.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever.
Cancer still kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Will you help?
You can contribute right here right now.
Thanks!!!
