I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mizfits

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mizfits

The Mizfits all started with a very fun group of friends wanting to create a team to join this new volleyball tournament 11 or 12 years ago.  Only Becky played volleyball before, so it was unchartered waters for most of us.  We made the team, signed up for the tournament, and have had our butts handed to us ever since.  But who would have thought that The Growler turned into one of the biggest St. Baldricks fundraisers in the South East!!!  Anyway, we went from 5 people (Becky, Michael, Jason, Jay, and Jodi) talking about forming a volleyball team in Mike and Becky's kitchen to a group of 19 strong.  We only need 5 to play, but 19 are on the official roster, so we're the fun party team.   "Practice???  Practice??  We're Still talking about Practice??"  Not having the skills of Allen Iverson, we all raise a bit of money, spend countless hours volunteering, and have an immense amount of fun.  For the Mizfits, it's the trifecta of fundraisers.  We'd like your support in raising money, volunteering, and/or having fun.  Childhood Cancer is terrible, as are the many other diseases you may already be supporting to help find their cure.   If you're interested in helping us in curing childhood cancer, donate a few bucks and let's make it happen.
