On February 26th I became a Bar Mitzvah which means that I am now considered a Jewish adult and responsible for my own actions. As part of my experience of becoming a Bar Mitzvah, I am doing a Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) project, to find some way to make the world a better place.
Last year I joined Team Weston's St. Baldrick's event and raised close to $2000! It was my first time shaving my head and my first real time doing something selfless for others. It felt so good to do good and I am excited to do it again this year.
This year, I am trying to raise even more money, but I want to do it a little differently. I noticed that my parents both have so many "friends" on facebook and I got thinking about what would happen if each of the friends (or even half of them) donated just $5 to me- the cost of a Starbucks coffee- I would raise a lot of money for children with cancer! How awesome would that be? So please consider donating even the smallest amount- it all counts and will change a child's life forever! Thank you for helping me repair the world.
