I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
The reason why I am shaving my head and raising as much money as I can this year is the same as last year. Childhood cancer is an extremely difficult thing to go through for the child who was diagnosed and the parents who need to put on a brave face while going through such uncertain times. Cancer is very unfair and no human being let alone a child deserves to have to go through the treatment process for it. Seeing how hard cancer and the treatments to fight it are on families both financially and emotionally I see that there is an opportunity for me to lend a very small hand to try and contribute to the fight against cancer and make a difference so that maybe just maybe that fight and struggle these families are going through can be a little bit easier. Whether they receive a donation to help pay for the treatments or if our donations contribute to research so that better and more efficient treatments can be created. No matter the contribution and the purpose it serves I am simply here to do my best and lend a hand in an extremely large problem no matter how big or small my effort ends up being.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
