I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: PDG Alan

Childhood Cancer—two words that should never be spoken in the same breath! The rates of childhood cancers (from infancy to 19) have risen every year for the past decade or more. It is a global problem. Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every two minutes – that’s 300,000 kids every year! This is not acceptable. While still considered rare, cancer is the leading cause of childhood death in America.

So, for the TENTH time, I will be performing a death-defying act—I will be shaving my head to raise money for research to combat childhood cancer. My previous efforts, for which I have been named ‘Knight of the Bald Table’ and which many of you supported, have raised almost $25,000 for the St. Baldrick foundation. This year I have set a new fundraising goal of $4,000—my highest ever. Please help me to exceed this goal!!

Cancer is the leading cause of childhood death in America…Children’s Lives Depend on our Support. Your investment supports the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Thank you so much for being a hero to kids with cancer. Together, we will make a difference.
