I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team RiverBexar

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.

Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!

And on a personal level, I lost my own 5 year old son to complications of treatment in 2017. For 2.5 years he fought for his life, and in the end treatment took too much of a toll on his little body. Neuroblastoma didn’t take him, trying to save him from it did. Countless surgeries, multiple rounds of chemo and radiation reeked havoc on his kidneys and bladder. A bladder infection is ultimately what ended his time on earth. All of our children deserve better. They deserve more. Help me give them that by supporting our efforts with St. Baldrick’s.
