I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi! My name is Simran Jatar and I am a childhood cancer survivor of 15 years! I am here today because of the research and support that people have given to save the lives of kids with cancer.

At 8 years old, I was fighting for my life, and today, I get to work towards my goal of becoming a pediatric oncologist at Georgetown University School of Medicine. I signed up to help lead St. Baldrick's because this cause is very personal to me and extremely important to shed light on.

Covid-19 has been hard on all of us, but it has been especially difficult for pediatric cancer families. During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick's Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants.

Please join our fight against childhood cancer and give another kid the chance we all had - to grow up.

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
