I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive.

In 2018, our daughter Keely was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma - an aggressive, lethal and devastating form of pediatric bone cancer. Our sweet little 13-year-old dancer/daredevil was reduced to a shell of herself by a year of chemical warfare (which they call chemotherapy) and by the time we got to the end of treatment a year later, she'd spent more than 200 nights in the hospital, had take more than two dozen trips to the OR and been put under general anesthesia, and had lost her left leg.

Sadly, this treatment has not advanced an iota in 35 years. You are reading that correctly: not a single new drug or therapy has been approved or come to market for kids with Osteo.

By helping us raise money for St. Baldricks, you are helping the brightest and most caring physicians, scientists and their teams advance the study or and search for a treatment for Osteosarcoma or any of the other unique, deadly Pediatric Cancer types. Join me, join our team. And help us make a difference.

Much, much heartfelt thanks. Mike
