In late November of 2020 my grandpa passed away from cancer, while remembering the amazing life of Ricardo Miranda, I began to feel the need to be more involved in the solution to this horrendous problem by raising money for cancer research. I also joined the Indiana University Dance Marathon organization which raises millions of dollars every year for Riley's Hospital for Children. In this experience, I see and hear the traumatic effect childhood illness has on those close to the patient. So, I want to help!
With both of these experiences occurring within the matter of a couple months, my passion for cancer research and children's health has grown immensely. And that is why am here. For the kids. And in memory of my grandpa who spent his whole life giving back to his community and making those around him feel loved.
With the inspiration from my late grandfather, I will be shaving my head on April 4th, but more importantly I will be raising money for The St. Baldrick's Foundation and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you!!
