Supporters & Friends,
After a five-year hiatus, I'm rejoining the efforts to fund a cure for childhood cancer. The pandemic had a devastating impact on St Baldrick's ability to raise money to fund research, and children with cancer need our help.
This will be my final appeal. Initially, I thought the phrase "taking victory lap" would be appropriate for this appeal. However, there will be no checkered flag, no bottle of milk until there are cures for all childhood cancers. Until that day, we keep running, competing ... seeking the finish line.
From 2010-2016 you, my loyal supporters and friends, dug deep and funded over $52,000 for childhood cancer research. And, many of your employers matched the donations! Thanks to all. Please consider donating again: St. Baldrick's - Dunbar's Final Appeal.
I am participating in a virtual St. Baldrick's event on Friday, March 26th. I know a virtual event will not be as enjoyable as our usual gathering, but the need to fund research to find cures for children's cancer doesn't take a break just because of COVID.
Since 2005, St. Baldrick's has awarded more than $305 million to support lifesaving research; making the St. Baldrick's Foundation the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Thank you again for your friendship, support, and dedication to finding a cure for cancer that affects so many children today...
Until a cure,
Pete
