I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

In the past year, two of my very close friends have learned of a Cancer diagnosis in children in their family. Evie, who is 13 years old, was diagnosed with Brain Cancer back in June and has been undergoing weekly chemo treatmets since. The tumor is shrinking, and our hope is that after her next 6 months of treatment that it will have become inactive. Charlotte, who is only 5 years old, was just diagnosed with Leukemia three weeks ago. She's undergoing intense chemo treatments at the hospital, but the goal is to get her home so they can continue treatment there for the next two years. These girls are both some of the strongest, most positive fighters I know. So, I'm raising money to help support children's Cancer research. Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. My fundraising goal is $1,000. I plan to do my own half-marathon in honor of the strenuous battle these girls face daily. Once I've completed it, I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers!
