I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mighty Maren & Super Lily

Nathan hasn't had a haircut since mid-August, just before school started. When he rejected a haircut this fall, a friend suggested he continue growing it and then shave it to raise money for St. Baldrick's. Nathan immediately loved the idea! See, at the young age of 7, he already knows of 2 children to have to fight this battle. One of his friends from school, Lily, was in the middle of her fight with cancer when they started preschool together 3.5 years ago. His whole first grade class is so happy to have a now HEALTHY Lily with them every day. Last fall Nathan proudly walked beside Lily at the LLS Light the Night walk. Less than a month later we got word that the daughter of one of my college roommates had been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Nathan has prayed for Maren every night since I told him, and is so sad that Maren is still fighting today. He asked me regularly why the cancer won't leave her alone. When I asked Nathan what his team name should be, he immediately said "Mighty Maren......and Super Lily!! Because I am doing this for both of them." So here we are, seeking to raise money to help conquer kids' cancers. Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. Nathan doesn't think this is fair at all, so he is asking for your support! Let's help fund research to help kids survive and thrive.
