I've been interested in St. Baldrick's ever since my sorority started hosting the event in honor of our little sister Julia, who tragically lost her battle to childhood cancer. Of course, back then I was not ready to part with my hair...
Recently, I started thinking about cutting my hair into a cute bob and donating it for children's wigs (or more likely, for them to sell and offset prices since my hair is turning old-lady white). So, the more I got thinking, the more it started making sense to do St. Baldrick's all the way. Cancer sucks and I want to help raise donations and awareness for those who really need it.
I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive.
