I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: CR North SHARE

Hi, For the 8th year, my son Brendan and I will be St. Baldrick’s shavees. We started in 2013, when Brendan was 10 years old and introduced the family to St. Baldrick's. He's now 17, and we have shaved every year, raising more than $27,000 in total. Doing this each year is a singularly wonderful experience to share with my son. Our family has been directly affected by childhood cancer in the past. Regina's sister, Brendan's Aunt Meg, died of cancer when she was just a child. We've seen Regina's family honor and remember Meg, whose picture has always been prominent in her parents' home, and remains so since Brendan's gram moved in with us in 2014. Then, several years ago, we began honoring Oliver Edson, the son of my high school friends, Luke and Jennifer. Regina and I have been blessed with four healthy children, and this effort is one small way for us to acknowledge our blessings. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation issues research grants that have resulted in highly effective cancer treatment drugs being developed. In 2018, we expanded to include SHARE, a non-profit organization at Council Rock North that Holland, Brendan and now Megan have been active in at the high school, and Brendan has been an officer for the past two years. Brendan's peers from SHARE will serve as volunteers at this year's event, on March 14. As this is Brendan's senior year, we hope that you will be kind enough to support and share our page, so that we can close out his high school career in high style!
