I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

My name is Elliott Saxton Wilharm, I am in the 6th grade at Wilkerson Intermediate School, Conroe ISD.   I have been "a boy with long hair" for about two years, ever since my mom got breast cancer and lost her hair during chemotherapy, I started growing mine to donate.  I want to help a kid who has to go through the same thing.  [I am going to donate my hair to Children with Hair Loss (https://childrenwithhairloss.us/) because they never ask for money for the wigs they make and all of the wigs go to children.]

I am now raising money to research cures for kid's cancer by shaving my head at the St. Baldrick's Day event on March 15, 2020 at The Goose's Acre in The Woodlands.  Will you help me?

Please donate any amount you can!  I am trying to raise $1,000 dollars, that means if just 50 wonderful people donate $20 each, I can make a big difference!

THE ST. BALDRICK’S FOUNDATION IS THE #1 PRIVATE FUNDER OF CHILDHOOD CANCER RESEARCH GRANTS, WORLDWIDE.

Come and cheer me on at The Goose's Acre on The Woodlands Waterway on March 15th at 3pm, and watch me get my head shaved!  (...or you may not recognize me on March 16th!)

Thank you!

[Elliott is a member of Boy Scout Troop 777, chartered by Trinity Episcopal Church in The Woodlands.  Elliott attends the Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church.  Elliott plays the baritone in the Wilkerson band and is a competitive fencer at The Woodlands Fencing Club.]

Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U. S. will not survive. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Join me today and let's #DFYchildhoodCancers together.
