I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This year in May, I'll be returning to Newington, New Hampshire, to participate in a head shaving event to raise money for and awareness of childhood cancer.  (I also shave my head here at home on my birthday, September 15, and raise money for St. Baldrick's through Facebook's birthday fundraiser.)

Once again I'm shaving in honor of three very special people:  1)  My dear friend Kerin, who passed away on February 1, 2019, from late effects of the cancer treatment she went through at the age of five.  She was an amazing young woman, and was only 19 when she died.  2)  Max Nunn, who passed away at the age of seven, in 2010.  I met his father Tom on Facebook in 2011, and it was through Tom that I learned about childhood cancer and how prevalent it is.  3)  Carla Hood, who was diagnosed with cancer as an infant, and survived...she's now in her 50s, and is a literal walking billboard of childhood cancer awareness. She's an amazing woman, and I'm proud to call her my friend.

I know that for most of us cash is tight, but every little bit helps!  Plus when it's all said and done, you get to see pictures of me completely bald.  (In my profile picture here I'm wearing a wig that I got from Amazon for only  $22.99.  Real hair is overrated!  Thanks so much in advance.
