I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This year I am honored to be the philanthropy chair for my fraternity, and lead St. Baldrick’s, an event that is so meaningful to me. In March 2018 my friend and one of the best kids I knew, Harris Halperin, lost his courageous fight against lymphoma. In January of this year, Nate, a 13 year-old from my small hometown and a close family friend started winning his own battle against a different form of lymphoma. In memory of Harris and in honor of Nate, I will be shaving my head, along with the brothers of Delta Upsilon, to help raise money for pediatric cancer research. Many people don’t realize how underfunded and how different childhood cancer is from adult cancer. St. Baldrick’s strives to bring more awareness to childhood cancer. Last year, we were able to raise over $20,000 for this important cause. Please help donate to this year’s event and no amount is too little!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
