I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I am shaving my head because I have been truly inspired by anyone who has had to battle cancer. It is not an easy fight and I know far too many people who've been affected. I am shaving my head in memory of those I have known, loved, and lost to this terrible disease. My two wonderful grandmothers, Marianne Schoenberger and Veronica Angelini. Hector Morales, who would have been my father in law, we miss you so much & thank you for supporting me the first time I shaved my head, and with so much more. Melanie, we didn't know each other well, but you still supported me the first time I endeavored on this journey, and you were taken far too soon for such a sweet soul.

Although those I have known were not children battling cancer, this foundation speaks to me because I cannot imagine the difficulty facing this disease as a child. The fear the child & parents must face is something I can't begin to wrap my mind around. Yet every TWO MINUTES a child is diagnosed with cancer. Every two minutes a family gets the worst news imaginable.

However, St. Baldrick's is an awesome foundation making fantastic progress towards new treatments. St. Baldrick's promises hope to families that need it most. Feel free to browse through the St. Baldrick's website to see all the progress they've made so far, and a few specific people who have benefited from this foundation.

Thank you everyone for supporting me, and more importantly, supporting these amazing children ♥️
