I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
In 2015 when I participated in this same event I was a few weeks into chemo and had very little hair left for them to shave. Steve and Beck both decided to have their heads shaved in solidarity once we arrived at the event. I think we raised more than $1,000 that time, and hope to do at least that well again.
In addition to wanting to support this wonderful organization in saving kids lives, I'm also shaving my head that day because I will be starting chemo a few days before that and have decided to NOT stay in denial this time til it's coming out in handfuls like I did before!
Every dollar counts, so even if you can only make a small donation that would be great. Thanks in advance for your support. Please be sure to look at the rest of the St Baldrick's website to learn about what they do and how your donation will help save lives.
With love -
Jeanette
