I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Grant D Morse

Life’s not easy and you know it can change on a dime. You hear a friends’ husband or wife gets cancer. Their treatments, doctor appointments, nausea, lose of hair, energy, time of their lives; the family upheaval, insurance company struggles. Now, think if it was your child, niece, or nephew. Their loss of energy, playdates, school dances, sibling events, sleepovers, sports, schooling; their childhood.

Please donate to help me, help them. Thank you for reading this message. Love, Maureen

My inspiration is Sebastian Lattuga and his family.  Sebastian is my niece's cousin.

His Mom, Annmarie, wrote,  "Our son Sebastian was diagnosed with stage 4 hepatablastoma (liver cancer) which had also spread to both lungs when he was just 20 months old on April 28, 2013. It took 12 surgeries, years of high dose chemo and immunotherapy but we are so blessed that he is doing well after 5.5 years of treatment, which he recently completed on August 6th,2018. There are so many kids that don't have treatment options and the ones that are available have terrible side effects, as you know from Sebastian, hearing loss is just one of those side effects. Pediatric cancers get less than 4% of the national cancer budget which is outrageous but it means that it's up to us to fund this much needed research. There is nothing more important to me than helping these kids survive."
