I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Brotherhood Of Freedom RC CH5

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

While being confined in the hospital with my own cancer I would drag my wheeled I V tree, dangling tubes and all, to the Children's Cancer Ward. With working parents some of these kids cried alone and scared much of the day. As a patient myself I did not have to adhere to visiting hours. I would read them stories, make up my own and tell them of some great classics in language they could understand. Many just needed a good listener. The hardest part of this was knowing that little Johnny or little Debby was going to die a horrible and painful death as current technology could not save them. There are many cancer cures being studied today limited only by research funds. It is with moist eyes I realize that some of last year's funerals could have been welcome home parties if only they had today's technology. Help save these children. Give generously to Saint Baldricks Childhood cancer fund raiser. Help save the life of an innocent child.
