MATT IS SHAVING HIS BEARD...

to raise money for kids' cancer research. People usually shave their heads, but, well, he is naturally blessed with more hair on his face than on his head. We are sure some readers understand...

This is a family affair: Katelin is donating college essay coaching hours and baking up a storm for the big day. Why are we doing this? We personally know multiple families who lost children to cancer.  As teachers, we know of many more children who have fought through treatments, some surviving, and some not. In our small community of Saugerties, many families are living their own lives in the wake of cancer's impact.

This local St. Baldrick's group has consistently raised an amazing amount of money- over $80,000 a year the past few years - to help infuse children's cancer research funding, which stagnates at around 4% of total cancer research monies. All cancers and treatments impact kids differently than they do adults, so children need specific consideration and funding.

Will you help?  DONATE CONFIDENTLY, knowing that of every dollar raised, 72% funds research to find a cure, 25% goes to fundraising and 3% goes to administration (the primary reasons for this expense ratio pertain to fundraising events, as well as brand awareness and profile building).

If you can, donate. If you can't, consider sending this to someone who can.

THANK YOU.

Love,

The Grandes
