I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: BLAISEing the Trail for The Cure

Earlier this year I participated in my 1st St. Baldrick's shaving event! With the help of many of you generous people, whom I cherish so much, I raised over $3,500 for Children's Cancer Research! That day was one of the most moving of my life to know that the money we brought to this organization would go to help sweet young ones that had been dealt a very frightening card. Sitting on the stage to have my hair buzzed at the Hibernian in downtown Raleigh, looking out at the photos of these children we were helping, and seeing all the supporting faces in the crowd was an amazingly exhilarating and fulfilling experience. This coming year, I have even more reason to do this event at a place that I hold dear in my heart, in the city I call my HOME. This St. Baldrick's, I am shaving my head and captaining a team in honor of a brave 11 yr. old boy from my home town who was diagnosed with a life threatening brain tumor earlier this year. He is undergoing aggressive treatment with drugs that are being very hard on his little body. You can visit the page supporting Blaise and his family on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/groups/423063917727308/?fref=ts His family and friends say he is doing well in spirit and is an incredibly brave and inspiring child. St. Baldrick's funds research on cutting edge treatments such as the one Blaise is undergoing. If you would like to join me in raising funds to support this great Foundation I have grown to love so quickly, please sign up on on my team page so we can start BLAISEing the Trail for the Cure! http://www.stbaldricks.org/teams/mypage/80610/2013 Not so hot on the idea of dropping the locks? That's ok, we need your sponsorship! Visit my participant page to donate anytime before the event! (: EVERY LITTLE BIT COUNTS :) *Donate now for 2012 tax write off* http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/579273/2013 Please share this with folks you think may be interested in participating and/or donating. Come see me and my fellow teammates get buzzed on April 13th and support the Hibernian Pub in Downtown Raleigh, a Glenwood South installation, that suffered a crippling fire earlier this week.
