What does it mean to be a shavee?

Each year has taught me a new lesson about love and hope.

My first year I understood the word 'family' and the commitment this organization has to keeping family together by saving the lives of their loved ones. I witnessed the admiration and love of parents as complete strangers stand in solidarity by making the choice of going bald.

My second year I watched the impact I had made on my community and how my actions inspired hope in others who didn't think it was possible to make a difference in going bald. Shaving is more than just "a new hair style". It's an entire movement that brings people together.

Kids with cancer deserve the opportunity to grow old and experience a life beyond a hospital room. Together we can make a difference by donating our time and money to show these kids and their families that a future still exists.

Help me in helping others.
