I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

During this difficult time where we’re separated and experiencing isolation by ourselves, it’s helpful to remain connected. Our idea is to use this St. Baldrick’s event to strengthen our community and help battle cancer simultaneously. While the media is hyperfocused on COVID-19, there are still individuals with other health issues that may not be at the forefront of our minds, including cancer, and they still need support. Becoming involved in our World History Virtual Shave is an amazing way to support people with cancer and stay in contact with one another. You don’t need to shave your head to participate if a buzz cut is not for you, you can donate and involve your friends and family instead. Plus, if you do decide to shave your head, you won’t be alone. Other World History students will be doing it too.

I hope you decide to join us. In the words of my mother, “Stay bold, stay bald, and stay home.”

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
