I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: RSOC Wonder Women

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: RSOC Wonder Women

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! In 2003, my 14 year old daughter Sarah was diagnosed with Leukemia, and I was introduced to the world of childhood cancer.  I have been involved with St. Baldrick's since 2004 and have seen first hand the impact they have had on research to cure childhood cancer.  In fact, Sarah relapsed in 2010 and participated in a trial that was offered at CHKD because of a St. Baldrick's infrastructure grant, and it was key to her being cured.

This year in addition to organizing the Hampton Roads Shave to Raise event with Sarah, I am also shaving my head.  This year I will join the Wonder Women of the Red Sparkle Octopus Crusaders (RSOC) team.   I shave in memory of my dear friend's children who did not survive their cancer, Nina, Amaya, Tommy and Kristina.  I also shave to honor Linda, Tommy's mom as she celebrates the 50th anniversary of her birth.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
