Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
My name is Liam Calulo and I am an 11th grader at Bernards High School. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Cancer has affected many different points in my life. When I was just in 1st grade, my Lolo (grandpa) died of Stage 4 Prostate cancer and when I was just in 3rd grade, my Lola (grandma) died of Stage 4 Colon cancer. It was not long after when my Aunt Jamiee also died of cancer. These three served a significant role in my childhood and in molding me into the man I am today.
As someone who knows just how much cancer can affect someone's life, I want to do as much as I can to help these kids receive the proper treatment so that they can grow and live their dreams.
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
