I decided my freshman year of high school that St. Baldrick's was something I knew I wanted to get involved in at some point. Here I am 4 years later making the commitment to myself and to all of you to shave my head on March 13th and to raise at LEAST $1,000 for Cancer research. I encourage you all to look into St. Baldrick's, it is an incredible organization.
I am a freshman at Illinois Wesleyan University studying Nursing. I hope to one day become a nurse practitioner working in the Pediatric Oncology Unit, and this is only the beginning. I want to make a difference and I want to see a difference, with the support of my amazing friends and family I am here ready to brave the shave.
I am doing this in honor of all those who are battling, kicked cancer's butt, and those who are now flying high with God.
I am also doing it in honor of
Leandro Maranon(Colon Cancer)
Carlos Cattani (Colon Cancer)
Mrs. Denise (Breast Cancer)
Erik Lain (Osteosarcoma)
I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
