I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Daryl Lynn

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
This is personal for me. My sister was diagnosed with a brain tumor in the early 1980s when she was just a baby. The treatment and equipment used back then was the same as used for adults,an already terrifying experience was made further traumatizing. Imagine being a toddler in a giant noisy machine!Children's cancers are the least funded for research and equipment, becauseofthis,it takes longer for breakthroughs than adult cancers. My sister's tumor caused many side effects that she has dealt with her whole life, but due to research, these can now be avoided with new treatments. Imagine what other breakthroughs we can all help make happen!
