My Daughter Kayla was Diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma in December 2013. She went through one full year of Chemotherapy and lost her long beautiful hair before beating Cancer. She was declared Cancer free in April 2015. Our joy was short lived as Kayla was back in the hospital by May. The doctors confirmed our worst fear. Kayla's cancer was back. Kayla began Chemotherapy treatments once again and things appeared to be going well ( as well as Chemotherapy can go) until Kayla began having headaches. Kayla was once again sent to the IWK where they discovered a tumour in Kayla's brain.
Kayla is currently undergoing Radiation to shrink the tumour as well as Chemotherapy. Kayla continues to be the bravest and strongest 6 year-old I know as she fights to beat her cancer once again.
Let's find the cure for Childhood Cancer so no 4 year-old and 6 year-old ever have to go through what Kayla has gone through. Every child deserves to live their childhood to the fullest!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.
