I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine

Once again this year, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Worldwide a child is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes, and one in five children diagnosed in the U.S. will not survive. Children's cancers are significantly different from adult cancers, far more poorly understood, and much harder to treat. Despite this, childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded, all of them together receiving. With only 4 percent of all federal cancer research funding dedicated to pediatric cancer research, St. Baldrick’s Foundation volunteers, supporters and donors are needed to continue the battle against this devastating set of diseases.
