Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick's, and why should you care?
* Because your donation "on my head" will save lives.
A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. Once again, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the United States won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Once again, I am doing a Solo Shave this year. This will be my 9th year shaving and raising funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
THANK YOU to everyone who has donated in past years. Roland, my brother-in-law, will be shaving my head on Sunday, March 22nd at 4 p.m. at his home in Holbrook. No, he is not a licensed barber, but he is family. He has done it before, and my head is still unharmed.
Now I need your support! Your donation will fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Every donation, small or large, will make a difference. Can you help? Please contact me, if you wish to donate by cash or check. I thank you in advance for your support.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve.
Thank you for your support! Please share this with anyone you know who may be interested in donating to fund pediatric cancer research and the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
