I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Every child should be able to live their life like a normal child. They should be able to do normal kid stuff like playing with friends and going to school, not spending their childhood in a hospital. To help, I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

This is my third year raising awareness for children fighting cancer. Over the past two years, I've been able to raise a total of $2,710. We don't have a cure yet, so the need is still there...and I plan on doing this until there is a cure.

Research and development for new drugs from pharmaceutical companies comprises 60% of funding for adult cancer drugs and close to zero for childhood cancers. However, the NCI spends 96% of its budget on adult cancers and only 4% of its budget on children's cancers...just 4%!

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
