I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

This year, I am dedicating my fundraising to the memory of David Lee Nelson - a friend, well-known comedian, and amazing emcee for Lowcountry Bald the last several years. David lost his battle with colon cancer last year.


Like David, I'm inspired by the kids and families that are battling cancer, and some that have lost that battle. Research is the path to give kids a lifetime! ....a lifetime free of cancer.


At our event, "Lowcountry Bald," some folks will shave their heads – and others like me - already bald - will put our hearts and energy into building an event that supports life-saving research for childhood cancers.

During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants.

I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please support me with a donation. Thank you!
