My name is Hampton and I am 9 years old. I have spent the last 2 1/2 years being treated at Duke. I was diagnosed with Langerhans cell Histiocytosis when I was 7 years old. I underwent a year of chemo and steroids. I finished my treatments in April of 2011. I am said to be in remission. I still go to Duke every 3 months for a MRI, x-rays and routine blood work. This fundraiser is very important to me because of my experience and also I am doing it this year in honor of my good friend Ella Newmiller. Please go to my site and donate today. Every little bit helps a child in need.
We would like to thank all of you who have donated so far to St. Baldrick's. I wanted to let everyone know that Hampton's friend Ella earned her wings to heaven on Wednesday, February 8th, 2012. Although she will be greatly missed we know she is in a great place. Hampton is now even more driven to do this in memory of his great friend Princess Ella Newmiller.
Be it known to all that this participant has dedicated at least three years of service to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation helping kids with cancer throughout all the land.
St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
