I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cory's Crusaders

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

13 years ago, a beautiful child named Kwesi Prince came into my classroom. He was on a feeding tube, had lost all his hair, and was losing his battle with cancer. I still remember despite treatments and everything, he had perfect attendance one quarter and we celebrated it so much. Even when he was absent, he showed up, though. His strength has always inspired me.

He passed away 2 years later, around the same time one of my close friends passed. Our group of friends determined that we were going to do something to honor their memory.

8 years later, my dad was diagnosed with cancer.

2 years after that, my wife was diagnosed with cancer.

Seeing all of their suffering, but at the same time, all of their strength has given me the determination to help in whatever way I can. So I continue to shave my head at St. Baldricks. I encourage all of you to donate, attend, or even join our team to help these kids and future generations to fight the good fight.

Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
