I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

8 years ago the ONLY thing I could do to support a junior Peer Counselor at our school was to say YES when he asked if we could host a St. Baldrick's event.  When he was ready to give up our event inspired him to never give up. Thankfully he is now a college graduate and hard working, fun loving adult making a difference in this world.

This year we are hosting our 5th event at SHS.  In the last 3 years we have had 4 students facing cancer, two who are attending SHS while undergoing treatment and, sadly, two have become angels in heaven.

My goal though these events to help our students with cancer feel supported, to teach our other students that they DO have the power to help others and that united we CAN and we DO make a difference.

Please consider supporting our St. Baldrick's event .  Check out our school made video below.  Your donation will continue to help researchers find ways to treat and beat pediatric cancer.
