I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ray's of HOPE

In memory of my friend's little girl, Rayanna Marrero, who left us far too soon in 2012 at the age of 8, I have volunteered to participate in a St. Baldrick's Foundation event. St. Baldrick's Foundation is a charity organization that raises money for childhood cancer research, primarily through "head-shaving" events, designed to show solidarity with the children who typically lose their hair during treatments. No, I am not shaving my head!!...but I am asking for your support. Click on "DONATE" to give online, or donate by phone (telephone # shown online) or by mail (download donation form). Your gift will give hope to children fighting cancer...something they so desperately need to hang onto during their battles. Our event goal is $5,000, but I have set a personal goal to raise $500 and would truly appreciate your support. The event that I'm helping with is being held on September 29th because September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. In addition to the typical "head-shaves" that will take place at the event, we will have a silent auction, various vendors, and lots of children's activities (including face painting).
