I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: F.O.R.C.E

Hello everyone, Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.

For me, this is one thing I can do each year to honor my mom. When she was diagnosed with Cancer in 2008, we shaved her head before chemo started. In solidarity, I shaved as well so that she wouldn’t feel alone in having no hair. In 2011, I found out my High School had an event and signed up as a shavee. In 2013, my mom’s battle with cancer was over, she was no longer in pain, and moved on to a better place. I haven’t stopped and look forward to doing this event every year until I can’t. Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever.

Did you know St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants? Even though I’ve done this event for 10, now 11 years, I just learned that fact. Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much! I would love to have your support in this event if this aligns with a cause you care about, children and cancer research.

Thank you so much for your time, support, and taking a look at my post! #givekidsalifetime #stbaldricks
