I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I became involved with St. Baldrick’s and Climb for Five in 2011 as both a shavee and a climber, summiting Mt. Rainier in Washington state in September. I'm shaving again this spring and working hard to raise money and train for our August summit of Russia's Mt. Elbrus! A longtime runner, cyclist, and pseudo-triathlete I love spending time outdoors and travelling both at home and abroad.
I began backpacking in high school and fell in love with the West after spending a week in northern New Mexico. While living in Colorado I learned to rock climb and quickly reaffirmed my love of the mountains, spending weekends climbing, hiking, and summiting the less crowded thirteeners.
Having lost too many friends and loved ones to cancer, I’m honored to take this journey in honor of those fighting and those who have succumbed. With so many worthwhile causes to champion, I’m proud to be a volunteer with St. Baldricks and member of Team Climb for Five. Thank you for your support!
