I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Crushers Crew

Hey Everyone! First of all, thank you so much for coming to check out my page. One night two years ago a friend of mine, Mike P., and I decided to shave our heads for St. Baldrick's. It was two weeks prior to the big event, and I threw the challenge at Mike, who retorted with the classic line of "I will if you will." Mike apparently did not think I would accept. For two weeks, battle lines were drawn between friends and family, merciless taunting and mockery was thrown about with relish, and the battle was on. Who was going to raise the most money in time? In total Mike and I raised well over our original goal of a combined $2000, and while we both had an amazing time, the seriousness of what were battling was never forgotten. I am a childhood cancer survivor and Mike works at the Children's Hospital of Denver in the oncology clinic. It's where we met, and where we continue to see the devastating effects that cancer has on those who in a perfect world would never even know what the word cancer was let alone know what it's like to have cancer. Too many children are still suffering and losing their battles with cancer, and it is my hope that by shaving my head once more again this year, together we can continue to help forward the battle against cancer. So PLEASE, no matter what you can do or give, anything helps make a difference in this battle to find a cure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, With love and immmense appreciation, Emily
